Swiss Watch Manufacturer, Tissot, Launches Virtual Try-On Technology

Swiss watch manufacturer, Tissot, is inviting its Australian consumers to try its different styles using augmented reality technology.  The consumer puts on a paper wristband which miraculously shows them–in 3D–how the Tissot watch would look on their wrist. The customer can then take a picture of themselves and post it to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #TissotReality to enter a competition to win a watch.
Tissot watches are a popular line of luxury Swiss watches.  The watch manufacturing company was founded in Switzerland in 1853.  Always pioneering the world of watches, Tissot is credited with manufacturing the first mass-produced pocket watch and the first pocket watch that could display two time zones.  In line with this, Tissot has become known in recent years for its tactile, or “T-Touch,” technology; several new watches have touch-sensitive sapphire glasses and include compasses, barometers, altimeters and thermometers.
